John and his wife, Trudi, moved to Florida in
2000 and have lived in DeSoto County since 2004,
where they have built their own home.
Before that, they lived in rural Pennsylvania,
where they raised their four children, two of
whom also now live in Florida.
John began his career working for Boeing, traveling throughout the country and to Vietnam to work on helicopters. After that, he was employed as a millwright, primarily working in power plants, and worked his way from apprentice to superintendent before retiring in 1998. Now that he is retired, he is a member of the Arcadia Car Club, and spends his time when he is not putting finishing touches on his house building and cruising in his street rod and being actively involved in matters of local concern. |
